The Seven Stars Sword Formation is the Sword Pavilion’s signature art. Seven disciples take up the positions of the Big Dipper and fight as one formation, and the result is far beyond what those seven could do separately. It is the essence the Pavilion has passed down for centuries, and one of the defining arts of the orthodox Wulin.
What the formation is
Seven disciples, arranged by the positions of the Big Dipper. While the formation is running, their sword aura links from one to the next, each covering the other’s flank. The whole is far stronger than seven people fighting alone. It is as strong on defence as on offence — a formation that can hold a line and break one.

- Big Dipper formation — the base layout
- Seven Stars in a Row — a pattern built for consecutive attacks
- Seven Stars Guard — a defensive pattern
Who runs it
- Jian Xuan — the Sword Pavilion’s finest disciple, and a master of the formation
