Combat and strategy
A boss carries its own health bar, and some bosses can be executed once their health is nearly gone — the execution is invincible throughout. In the fight, watch for blue-light attacks (a parry triggers Ghost Step and restores Sha-Chi), red-light attacks (unblockable; dodge them on time, and some trigger a unique quick-time event), the black-light tell, and counter stances — attacking into a raised guard gets you thrown. Emptying the Sha-Chi gauge breaks the guard: no blocking, heavy stagger, more damage taken. Some boss arenas also offer usable environmental objects.
