Shui Bingmiao was a Living Envoy of The Order. Before he defected he held Mu Tianmiao’s trust, and a promotion to Nether Envoy was being considered. His mind was as steady as rock and as cold as ice, and at the same time painfully fragile: he could not stand a single rumour about himself.
Overview
Shui Bingmiao, a Living Envoy of The Order, trusted by Mu Tianmiao to the point of a possible promotion to Nether Envoy. Steady as rock, cold as ice, and brittle past either: gossip undid him. His defection became a notable episode in The Order’s history, and it turned on his daughter’s illness.
Background
He was an envoy of The Order, highly capable and trusted by Mu Tianmiao. When his daughter fell gravely ill, The Order could have saved her — but at that moment the young Soul was also seriously ill because of his bloodline. The Order chose Soul, and let the daughter go. The decision ended Shui Bingmiao’s faith in The Order, and he left it.
